DAY 1:  MANILA – ISTANBUL (via Turkish Airlines or RIYADH (via Saudia Airlines)


Marhaban bikum al Tunis! Our tour guide will meet and greet us at the Tunis–Carthage International Airport before we head to Sidi Bou Said – the world – famous BLUE AND WHITE VILLAGE OF TUNISIA. Afterwards, transfer to the hotel for dinner and check-in.


After your hotel breakfast, check out and start today’s tour. Visit one of the largest museums in North Africa, the second largest in the African continent – THE BARDO NATIONAL MUSEUM. Showcasing one of the finest and largest collections of Roman mosaics in the world. Being one of the most important museums in the Mediterranean basin, it was formerly a palace and then –named Museum Alaoui. Next is UNESCO World Heritage site. The Medina of Tunis. The souls of the Tunis Medina. The Tunis Medina is a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979. The entire Medina contains 700 monuments including palaces, mausoleums, mosques, and fountains. The SOUK of MEDINA is a set of shops and boutiques, mostly built in the 13th century. The shops are a divided in an alley for perfume, hats, bags, pieces of jewelry, precious metals, shoes, cakes, wool, leather, and even books! Next is the Archaeological Site of CARTHAGE (Carthage Ruins), another UNESCO WH site. Major components of this site are the Acropolis of Byrsa, the Punic Ports, The Punic Tophet. The Necropolises, theater, amphitheater, circus, residential areas. The Antonin baths, and archaeological reserves. Afterwards, we head to Sousse for an overnight stay.


Have an energizing breakfast at the hotel before we check out and start today’s tour. Sousse is another UNESCO World Heritage site which is on the Mediterranean Sea coast, this East coast town in Tunisia boasts its colorful history. Attractions seated in Sousse are The Kasbah which was erected in 859 AD, The Catacombs containing graves of more than 15000 local Christians, and many more! Next stop is at Kairouan, the fourth most holy city of the Muslim faith and the home of the great Mosque. This is another UNESCO World Heritage site. The Great Mosque is surrounded by the Medina and many small stores. Its architectural design is worth your photo upload! Next stop is the Aghlabid Basins which is the solution to the drought-prone town of Kairouan. The majestic and highly advanced work of are was engineered during the Middle Ages and has been the major water source for the town. Next is visiting Sidi Sahbi and admire its majestic façade and carved stone interiors. This mosque is also known as “Mosque of the Barber”, dedicated to Prophet Muhammad’s companion and barber Abou Zamaa el- Balawi, Now the patron of the city. Next stop is the Cultural Museum before we head to the hotel for dinner and check-in.


Today, after your hotel breakfast, we start the tour with a Jeep Safari Ride! The ride will be from Chebika – Tamerza – Mides. Chebika is one of the filming sites of STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE, and THE ENGLISH PATIENT. Tamerza is a hill country near the border of Algeria and famous for its waterfalls and renowned for its clear water cascades and springs. Mides lies high in the gorge and a town just a kilometer away from the Algerian border. The Gorge is also known as “THE GRAND CANYON” of Tunisia, where THE ENGLISH PATIENT also shot some scenes at. We’ll have our dinner at the hotel before we call it a night.


After your hotel breakfast, we will head for a tour to the “Gateway to the Sahara” – Douz. It is located in the South of Tunisia, and the base for camel trips into the desert, ranging from a short ride to overnight expeditions. Experience the mighty Sahara Desert through its gateway! Next stop is Matmata famous for its troglodyte (cave) dwellings. Scenes from Star Wars movies were filmed here too, as the home of Luke Skywalker in the planet “Tatooine”. Next is the breath-taking Mahdia which is a Tunisian coastal city. That being said, its beautiful beaches make it one attractive and relaxing city.


Have a relaxing hotel breakfast before we start the tour. First stop is El Djem, a town in Mahdia, which is home to some of the most impressive Roman remains in Africa. We will visit the Amphitheater in the city of Thysdrus (a suburb of El Djem). This amphitheater was built around 238AD when modern Tunisia belonged to the Roman province of Africa. Feel the “gladiator” ambiance and take that selfie shot on your OOTD! Next is we head back to Sousse and straight to Port El Kantaoui. This surrounds a large artificial harbor with more than 300 berths for luxury yachts, and a great venue to host water sports to skiing to paragliding! This white and blue Tunisian style village has its own medina quarters and cobblestone street! If you’re looking for high-end shopping centers, restaurants, and cafes, you’ll find a lot here. Next is Hammamet, where you will be amazed at this “citrus garden & resort city” as the entire town grows a mix of oranges, lemons, and other citrus produce! Get to see the white sandy beaches together with its clean water. Head to back to the hotel and the rest of the night is for you to fall in love with Hammamet.


Today, we’ll take a tour to Cap Bon. Our first stop is the coastal town of Kelbia. The main landmark of Kelbia is the recently restored Kelibia Fort, which is overlooking the harbor. This town is home to Tunisia’s National Fishing School. Next is Kerkouane, known to be a Phoenician city built by the Romans when it was abandoned during the First Punic War. Excavation of this towns revealed ruins and coins from the 4th and 3rd Centuries BC! As another UNESCO World Heritage Site declared in 1985, this is the only example of a Phoenicia – Punic city to have survived. Afterwards, we’ll proceed to Nabeul, which was the seat of an ancient Christian Bishopric founded during the Roman Empire, and survived the Arian Vandal and Orthodox Benzatine empires. This small town also is the home to the very interesting Nabeul Market. Well then transfer back to Hammamet for an overnight stay at the same hotel as the previous night.
